I am a Hoof Therapist and Trimmer and teach Natural
Horse and Hoof Care. If you love horses as much as I do, you might be
interested in how I discovered this career and enjoy exploring the links
on my Natural Horse and Hoof Care page.
I started riding as a little kid and bought my
first horse when I was sixteen. A half-Thoroughbred yearling I named
Highland Laird. I had Laird for nine years until we had to move.

It hurt so much to sell my first horse;
I avoided horses for seven years. When I couldn’t resist any longer,
I started riding other people’s horses and in 1990 I purchased Baycrest
Sham, a ten year old Arabian. Sham taught me how to really ride.

I lost Sham in 2003. (The
story is here.) Then came Isabelle, my dream horse. A half Friesian
mare – super bright and friendly, filled with youthful energy, who gives
hugs as well as she receives them.

The following spring I found Prince, a fifteen
year old Cheval Canadien, companion to Isabelle, trail horse, master
of standing still and superior huggee.
